Aldair Salazar
Biography
Héctor Aldair Salazar Tejada ( Callao, August 19, 1994) is a Peruvian footballer. He plays as a central defender or right-back and currently plays for Deportivo Garcilaso in Liga 1 of Peru.
He was trained in the Sport Boys youth academy, but made his professional debut with Juan Aurich on March 21, 2013 in a 2-1 defeat against Real Garcilaso, for the 2013 Descentralizado Championship. Despite playing very little, on November 30, 2014 he scored his first professional goal in a 3-1 defeat against Universitario de Deportes.
In 2015, Salazar joined Deportivo Municipal, where he played for three seasons under contract until November 30, 2018. He made his debut with Muni on May 14, 2016 in a 1-0 victory over Universidad de San Martín.
The 2018 season was his best individual performance as he was one of the cornerstones of Municipal's defense, helping them qualify for the 2019 Copa Sudamericana. At the end of the season, Salazar was chosen as the best defender of the 2018 Descentralizado Championship at the Asociación Deportiva de Fútbol Profesional (ADFP) awards ceremony. In 2025 he managed to qualify for the 2025 Copa Sudamericana with Deportivo Garcilaso.
